Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT® )
Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT® ) is a ground-breaking, advanced non-invasive treatment option for a wide range of conditions such as degenerative joint disease, degenerative disc disease, arthritis, chronic tendon inflammation, bone fractures, and most any inflammatory condition.
EMTT® acts using high-energy electromagnetic radiation in a regional treatment area and provides a wide range of applications and patient comfort with no known side effects.
We proudly offer this non-invasive treatment method from STORZ Medical and CuraMedix to provide relief for patients who are suffering from acute or chronic pain and inflammation conditions.
What Does EMTT® Treat?
Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT®) is one of the most innovative technologies to treat chronic musculoskeletal diseases, and the best part is that it is a non-invasive, evidence-based, exceptional complement to Dry Needling and Red Light Therapy.
Application areas of EMTT® include diseases of the musculoskeletal system such as connective tissue pain in the spine, arthrosis, dislocations, subluxations, fractures, as well as inflammation in tendons and joints.
EMTT® can be distinguished from other general forms of pulsed electromagnetic field technology or PEMF due to its high oscillation frequency of 100 – 300 kHz. This feature enables deeper penetration and a wider range of applications.
The clinical benefits of EMTT® have been demonstrated in several clinical studies.
Typical Conditions Treated Using EMTT®:
-
Degenerative Joint Diseases: Wear and tear conditions such as Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis (back, knees, neck, hands, hips, shoulders, elbows), herniated discs, spondylarthrosis
-
Pain Treatment: (Acute or Chronic) pain: back pain, lumbago, neck pain, knee pain, foot and ankle pain, hand and wrist pain, shoulder pain, tension, radiculopathy, sacroiliitis, pubic bone pain/inflammation
-
Sports Injuries: Acute or Chronic inflammation of tendons and joints, tendon overuse syndromes, muscle strains and ligament sprains, inflammation of the pubic bone
-
Fractures: Some studies suggest application of EMTT after casting accelerates the bone healing process much faster than typical biology and faster than other traditional bone stimulators on the market.
-
Pre and Post-Surgery Conditions: Tissue management pre and post-surgery to ensure faster, easier, and better healing of the tissues.
-
Joint Replacements: Data suggests joint replacement bonding is accelerated up to 3x faster with EMTT and creates arguably a stronger bond between the bone and the prosthesis. This minimizes bone integrity issues or long term concerns
What Is EMTT® Treatment Like Using The MAGNETOLITH®?
Treatment with the MAGNETOLITH® is non-invasive and has almost no side effects. It is comfortable and uncomplicated for patients: The applicator is positioned directly above the region of the body to be treated without the need to remove clothing. The user can employ the practical holding arm for fatigue-free treatment. If required, the applicator can also be guided by hand during the treatment.
The EMTT® treatment is performed with a frequency of up to 10 pulses per second. The pulse intensity is adjusted depending on the clinical picture. Treatment takes 5 – 20 minutes depending on the indication and frequency and is usually repeated up to 8 times over a period of 4 weeks.
Follow-up applications can occur as frequently as requested by the patient as there are no known side effects.
Many active individuals and top athletes will utilize EMTT® for recovery to keep their bodies in tip-top shape keep feeling good and keep inflammation at bay.
Others with chronic pain and arthritic conditions may choose periodic maintenance treatments to continue to keep their inflammation down and maintain their independence and freedom in life.
How Does it work?
An alternative to traditional treatment methods, such as pain pills, injections, or surgery; EMTT® aims to reduce inflammation within the body and can be used for a very wide range of conditions and inflammatory processes or diseases. Due to this, it is extremely successful in the use of treating connective tissue, and degenerative conditions such as arthritis including Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
In the course of EMTT®, painful areas of the body are treated with high-energy magnetic pulses, the field strength of which lies within the therapeutically effective range – 10 mT (millitesla) and upward. With this pulse intensity, it is possible to achieve a therapeutic effect within the cell. The generated energy is transferred via an applicator to the body areas to be treated. The individual pulses penetrate the tissue so that even deeper tissue layers can be reached. There is no temperature increase in the tissue, due to the short duration of the individual pulses.
EMTT® treatment can cause positive biological effects. Every cell undergoes chemical reactions that drive metabolism. The prerequisite for this is membrane permeability. A stable cell membrane ensures permeability for vital substances. A pathological change leads to dysfunction – a metabolic disorder that can ultimately lead to disease. The chemical reactions of the cell potential can be positively influenced by EMTT®. The sodium-potassium pump can be reactivated and physiological cell processes can be normalized.
EMTT® acts using high-energy electromagnetic radiation in a regional treatment area.
Those who receive EMTT® in combination with Dry Needling, Red Light therapy, and other treatment techniques and exercises in their rehabilitation process see even better and faster results.

Is EMTT® Right For You?
EMTT® is a home run for just about any inflammatory condition. This includes a wide range of conditions and diseases from connective tissue disorders, acute and recurring pain and inflammation due to joint dislocations and subluxations, acute injuries such as sprains and strains, chronic pain, and degenerative conditions such as arthritis, as well as helps speed the bone healing process after a fracture.
It is also used to help speed recovery in athletes or those active individuals after an intense workout or game, or after an intense endurance activity such as a 1/2 or full marathon or triathlon.
EMTT® is one of the best treatment options available to combat degenerative conditions such as arthritis (osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis) as well as degenerative disc disease, spondylarthrosis, disc herniations, and chronic tendon disorders or tendinosis.
EMTT® can also help improve patient outcomes and conditions if they are considering surgery. By addressing the inflammation and managing the tissue before and after the surgery, EMTT® will provide patients with a decreased level of pain experienced for faster, easier, and better healing leading to the best post-surgical outcomes.
For those considering joint replacement surgery. Whether it is a total hip, knee, or shoulder, data suggest EMTT® can accelerate the bonding process by 3x faster than normal as well as lead to an arguably stronger bond than what was previously achievable-leading to reduced stress and worry over long-term bone integrity issues.
EMTT® is right for just about everybody, however, there are certain conditions and individuals which this treatment is not appropriate for. Those include individuals with electronic implants such as pacemakers, spinal cord stimulators, etc.; over areas of active cancer; pregnancy; and metal implants that are not MR safe or approved.
Before treatment consideration and application, all medical questions or concerns will be addressed and answered with patient-informed consent.
